General information about the event

From 22 to 26 September 2025 the German-Thai chamber of commerce, in cooperation with the German Water Partnership e.V. (GWP), is organising a business initiation trip to Thailand on behalf of the Federal Ministry of economics and climate protection (BMWK) on the topic if sustainable water and wastewater management. This is a project-related funding program. It is part of the Environmental Technologies Export initiative and is being carried out as part of the market development program for SMEs. The target group is primarily small and medium-sized German companies (SMEs). Support is also provided by local associations: Solid Waste Management Association (Thailand) and the Thai Waterworks Association (TWWA).

Participants in the programme have the opportunity to explore the market efficiently and cost-effectively with the professional support of the cooperation partners in the project and to establish or intensify contacts with potential business partners and decision-makers.

Participation

A maximum of 12 companies can participate in the Business Initiation Trip to Thailand. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received, with SMEs having priority over large companies. The project is part of the market development programme for SMEs of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and is subject to the de minimis regulations. The companies own contribution to participation in the project depens on the size of the company:

• 500 euros (net) for companies with an annual turnover of less than 2 million euros and fewer than 10 employees
• 750 euros (net) for companies with an annual turnover of less than 50 million euros and fewer than 500 employees
• 1000 euros (net) for companies with an annual turnover of 50 million euros or more or 500 or more employees

Travel, accommodation and catering costs are borne by the participants themselves. For all companies, the individual consultancy services are certified in accordance with the EU’s de minimis regulation.
