In collaboration with German operators, GWP has developed the concept of a new model for partnerships between German local operators and operators from developing and emerging countries. This model was developed by GWP’s working group Operation and Capacity Development and in close cooperation with German development cooperation, especially Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues aims to be the leading political forum for the water industry in Germany. Both the international character of the participants from governments, non-governmental organisations, research and science and the participation of decision-makers of international water consumers from industry, energy and agriculture as well as the fact that Berlin is an internationally recognised know-how location in the water sector contribute to the BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues.
German Water Partnership has supported the Export Initiative Environmental Technologies of the Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection from the very beginning and has already successfully implemented many projects.

Then take advantage of measures supported by the Market Development Programme (MEP) of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).
The German Water Partnership-Days are a series of events where German experts from the water sector meet with international decision-makers from the respective country to elaborate on appropriate solutions for the water industry. The GWP-Days are carried out by GWP and their active members.
Within the framework of the Chamber and Association Partnership Programme, BMZ supports the project GAPWAS – German-African Partnership for Water and Sanitation – via Sequa GmbH.
“Together as a strong network”, GWP and its members present themselves with a joint booth at numerous trade fairs worldwide throughout the year. In addition to the booth, GWP is part of the general program at each fair.
As part of the special initiative on training and employment, the BMZ, via sequa gGmbH, is funding the PartnerAfrica project to establish an African Water and Sanitation Academy (AWASA). The project is being implemented on the basis of cooperation between GWP and the African Water Association (AfWA).
