The board of directors of a maximum of 15 representatives. It elects its executive board, which is composed of one one chairperson and three deputies. The GWP board appoints the general manager and herewith controls operations. It also organizes working groups which are headed by board members wherever possible.
The last board election took place on July 5th, 2022 during the 18th General Assembly in Berlin and elected 15 nominees to the board of directors for the term 2022-26.
Ingo Hannemann, Chairman of the Board
The qualified engineer studied electrical engineering at the University of Duisburg and RWTH Aachen University. After an initial professional position in municipal infrastructure management, he worked for several years at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in strategy and organisational development. He then moved to the MVV Energie Group, where he held various leadership roles.
In 2009, Hannemann took over the management of the Energy-Water-Wastewater Technology division at Stadtwerke Osnabrück AG and the management of ESOS Energieservice Osnabrück GmbH.
Ingo Hannemann has been Technical Managing Director at HAMBURG WASSER since 2018 and Spokesman of the Management Board since 2021.
Ingo Hannemann is a member of various committees of industry and professional associations.
