20th Session of the Regional Forum North Africa
The 20th meeting of the Regional Forum North Africa of German Water Partnership will take place on 1 December 2026 at AERZEN in Aerzen, Germany.
The anniversary meeting will focus on current developments and business opportunities in North Africa as well as the future activities of the Regional Forum. A key item on the agenda will be the election of the new steering committee of the Regional Forum North Africa.
One thematic focus of the meeting will be the process from tendering to successful project acquisition in international projects. Using the modernisation of the Choutrana wastewater treatment plant in Tunisia as a practical example, the session will explore how international projects are developed, which stakeholders are involved throughout the project cycle and what opportunities arise for German companies. Several GWP members as well as other stakeholders have been or are involved in the project.
The programme will also include an exchange with KfW. In addition, Alexandra Ervenich, Chair of the Regional Forum North Africa and member of the GWP Board, will provide a debriefing on relevant topics and outcomes of the first GWP Board meeting.
The meeting will take place in person only. No digital or hybrid participation will be offered.
