Peter Althaus – Entrepreneur, Transformer, Water Technology Insider

Peter Althaus is an internationally experienced industrial engineer with over 25 years of leadership experience in water management, plant engineering and technology-driven transformation processes. As CEO, managing director and advisory board member, he has successfully guided companies in Europe, Asia and Australia through phases of growth and change.

His focus is on the development and scaling of sustainable technologies for municipal and industrial water and gas treatment. At Enexio Water Technologies, he was responsible for the global transformation from plastics manufacturer to process engineering system provider – including the introduction of lean management with the Fraunhofer Institute and the establishment of a new location in China.

He established Sülzle Kopf Anlagenbau as a key provider of processes for removing micro-impurities and pharmaceutical residues from wastewater. As managing director of Carbo-FORCE, he promoted the carbonisation of biomass for energy and material use.

Peter Althaus combines technical depth with entrepreneurial thinking and intercultural leadership skills. Today, he supports innovation-driven companies in the fields of water, the environment and the circular economy – in an advisory, investment and design capacity. He also volunteers at the German Water Partnership, contributing his international experience to sustainable water solutions, and supports companies and organisations as a member of their executive or advisory boards.
