Boreal Light designs and manufactures the Winture PlanetCube, an affordable and simple solar water treatment system for off-grid communities around the globe (www.winture.de). Winture PlanetCubes deliver perfectly clean drinking, irrigation, fish farm and sanitation water from any kind of highly saline and/or polluted water source at a fraction of the market cost. Using the Winture PlanetCube, producing 1000 litres of drinking water from highly saline water sources costs as little as 0,5 EUR. Being entirely powered by solar energy and the simple design result in an affordable yet advanced water treatment system for medium production capacities (500 l/h to 20.000 l/h).
