From Projects to Partnerships: Opportunities in IFI-Funded Water Infrastructure Projects in Ukraine

Date and Time
05.05.2026 14:00 — 16:00
Location
IFAT Munich 2026, Hall B2, Room B22

The Agency for Business and Economic Development (AWE), the AHK Ukraine and FELICITY II cordially invite you to a high-level workshop at IFAT, offering concrete insights into Ukraine’s water sector and new opportunities for German–Ukrainian cooperation.

The event brings together key stakeholders, including representatives of international financial institutions, Ukrainian ministries and associations, municipal water utilities (Vodokanals), engineering companies, and German technology providers. The focus will be on current developments, needs, and concrete project opportunities within internationally financed water and wastewater projects.

Gain practical insights into ongoing projects, including real-world implementation examples from municipal utilities, and learn more about new programmes by international donors. You will receive valuable information on procurement processes, financing structures, and concrete entry points for German companies.

A special highlight will be the panel discussion, where experts from financing institutions, municipal implementation, and the private sector will discuss how IFI-funded projects can be successfully implemented – from financing to tendering and execution. Particular attention will be given to building effective consortia, addressing common challenges, and identifying success factors for participation in international tenders.

At the same time, the event contributes to the sustainable and resilient reconstruction of Ukraine’s water infrastructure by promoting modern, energy-efficient technologies and fostering strong partnerships between Ukrainian and international stakeholders.
