It was a special pleasure to welcome Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, Governor of the Mexican state of Baja California, to Berlin on September 22. Baja California is struggling with increasing water shortages as a result of climate change. In her term of office, the governor is therefore paying particular attention to the responsible, sustainable use of water as a valuable resource. In particular, issues such as re-use, desalination and efficient use of scarce water supplies play a major role in the state’s future.
During the conversation, the governor and her delegation expressed their desire for more intensive cooperation with German companies, whose expertise enjoys a very good reputation in Mexico. To this end, GWP will organize a digital exchange with interested members. If you are interested in participating, please contact Larika Waldmann directly.
