GWP would like to thank Gunda Röstel for her outstanding work and warmly welcomes Ingo Hannemann to his new role.
Berlin, June 17, 2024 – The Executive Board of German Water Partnership e.V. (GWP) unanimously elected Ingo Hannemann, Technical Managing Director of HAMBURG WASSER, as the association’s new Chairman of the Executive Board at the extraordinary board meeting on June 14, 2024. He succeeds Gunda Röstel, Commercial Director of Stadtentwässerung Dresden GmbH and authorized signatory of GELSENWASSER AG, as Chairwoman of the GWP Board.
“It has been an extraordinary pleasure to further develop German Water Partnership – the only internationally focused network in the German water sector – into a highly recognized association together with our members. With our unique membership from all areas of the water sector, we have achieved a great deal. We are valued providers when it comes to technical solutions, sought-after experts in capacity development and trustworthy partners in politics – both nationally and internationally,” Gunda Röstel emphasizes, who will continue to work for the German water industry as Vice President Water/Wastewater of BDEW and thus further strengthen the cooperation between the two water industry associations. “However, the operational and technological requirements are increasing, not least against the backdrop of advancing climate change and a growing world population. A solution provider like GWP is needed on the road to a global water transition! So it is with my best wishes that I hand over my position to the capable and highly experienced hands of my esteemed colleague Ingo Hannemann. I am very confident that GWP will continue on its successful path with him at the helm and continue to grow in importance.”
Ingo Hannemann comments on his election: “It is a great honor for me to be elected Chairman of the Board of German Water Partnership. I accept this task with great motivation and a great sense of responsibility for the future of the water industry. Together with our almost 300 members, the many committed volunteers of our association, my colleagues on the Board and the team at the office, I will work to make our members’ solutions known worldwide and thus tackle the challenges in dealing with water.”
GWP would like to thank Gunda Röstel for her outstanding work and warmly welcomes Ingo Hannemann to his new role. The organization is looking forward to a successful collaboration to tackle the global water challenges.
