On 3 and 4 September 2026, the CleanTech Conference 2026 of the Export Initiative Environmental Protection (EXI) will take place in Berlin under the title “10 Years of the Export Initiative Environmental Protection – CleanTech Made in Germany as a Competitive Advantage.”

Marking the tenth anniversary of the Export Initiative, the conference will bring together representatives from the clean and green tech sector, research and educational institutions, policymakers and partner organisations. The conference will explore how the German environmental technology sector can successfully position itself in a dynamic international environment and the role that innovation, strategic partnerships and funding instruments can play in strengthening the international competitiveness of “CleanTech Made in Germany”.

The programme includes keynotes, panel discussions and workshops addressing current topics in the international environmental technology sector. Experts will discuss, among other topics, the positioning of German environmental technologies in a changing geopolitical landscape, international market opportunities and the role of foreign trade promotion.

German Water Partnership will be present with an information stand on 4 September. We look forward to meeting you and exchanging ideas about GWP’s international activities and opportunities.

GWP will also be represented in the conference programme: Dr.-Ing. Manuel Krauß, Head of GWP’s Regional Forum Africa, will participate in the panel discussion “CleanTech in a Changing Geopolitical Landscape – How Can Germany’s Environmental Technology Sector Succeed in New Power and Market Structures?”
