The certified electrical engineer has been active in the energy and water industry for more than 25 years.
Most recently, he served as Technical Managing Director and Spokesperson of the Management Board of HAMBURG WASSER, where he was responsible for water supply and wastewater management for around two million people in the Hamburg metropolitan region. Prior to that, he headed the the Energy, Water, and Wastewater Technology division at Stadtwerke Osnabrück AG, overseeing all pipeline-based sectors in the city. Previous professional stations included the MVV Energie Group and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting.
Since 2024, Ingo Hannemann has been Chairman of the Board of German Water Partnership e. V. and since 2026 he has been working as an independent engineer and consultant.
