“Water 4.0” – updated booklet

Digitalization provides new approaches, tools and means to bring about a new era of water management. Similar to other branches of industry the water industry is continuing to strengthen its competitiveness through new technologies like automation in intelligent networks.

The increased integration of IT, sensor technology and model applications will enable a better understanding of the complexity of water management systems and their depiction in production, early warning and decision-making processes. It also creates opportunities for new business models.
